Infected people have a strong and long-lasting immunity to Covid-19.

Several recent investigations have found that the immunological response triggered by COVID-19 infection can endure for years, especially if it is augmented by a vaccine injection.

The majority of those infected with SARS-CoV-2 develop immunity after at least a year and may last for several years. Even better: after just one vaccine shot, these people seemed to develop a very strong immune system that can withstand new strains. This is demonstrated by papers devoted to the immune response to a natural Covid-19 infection, which show promising results, while several countries take advantage of the summer vacation to speed up vaccination of their populations and try to regain control of the epidemic.

To begin with, several studies show that the presence of anticorps persists in the body, despite initial findings indicating a significant decline after a few months. These secreted proteins used by the organization to identify and neutralize the virus are detectable in infected people for up to three months after their encounter with the Covid-19. Anticorps would be manufactured in large quantities as long as the pathogen is present in the body, then rapidly reduced in the seven months following infection, before stabilizing at a lower but consistent level.
